Shanghai Shenhua draws

Shanghai Shenhua tied 1-1 at home against Liaoning Hongyun. Wu Xi scored for Shenhua in the injury time of the first half, but Yang Xu scored the equalizer at the 72th minute. The Shanghai team goes off the top of the table and falls to 7th place with 24 points, 16 behind the undisputed leader of this 2011 CSL, Guangzhou.

Bumpy stage for Shanghai Shenhua

Three are now the consecutive defeats in the league by Shanghai Shenhua. The latter has been by 2 goals to 1 at the home of Qingdao Jonoon. With this score, the Shanghai team falls to 6th place in the standings with 23 points, 14 behind the undisputed leader of this 2011 CSL, Guangzhou.


Muangthong United signs Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has agreed a move to MuangThong United following his exit from Australian A-League side Perth Glory last month.



Fowler was given a warm welcome by his new fans on his unveiling, with one even unfurling a banner reading “welcome God”, the nickname given to him by the adoring Anfield fans.


MuangThong general manager Ronnarit Suewaja said: “He agreed to play with Muang Thong United as a forward. I’m confident that Thai football will improve as a famous player like him has agreed to join us.”

Second consecutive defeat by Shanghai Shenhua in the CSL

Shanghai Shenhua has lost again in the league after losing by 3 goals to 0 at the home of Beijing Guoan. China's biggest soccer game of the year did not disappoint, as Beijing's Workers' Stadium filled up with over 45,000 spectators.
